Astrology Report for November 2015, Part II: Aho Mitakyue Oyasin

"Mitakuye Oyasin" is a Lakota Sioux saying that means “all my relatives,” or “we are all related,” demonstrating the inherent belief that we are all ONE on this planet. In

lieu of recent world tragedies, this Lakota saying reminds us that we are all in this together. We owe it to ourselves, to our children, and to our Mother Earth Goddess to imagine a better world where this level of violence no longer has a place; where compassion, consciousness, love and empathy reign, and where every basic human need is readily met for ALL.

"You are all my relations, my relatives, without whom I would not live. We are in the circle of life together, co-existing, co-dependent, co-creating our destiny. One, not more important than the other. One nation evolving from the other and yet each dependent upon the one above and the one below. All of us a part of the Great Mystery. Thank you for this Life. "

Aho....

Monday November 16th, there is a wild streak today─ perhaps a desire to break outside of the box. There may be a desire to learn something new or to understand something better. We want to work on ourselves in an unconventional way. The Capricorn Moon goes void at 3:53 pm EST.

The Moon enters Aquarius in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday November 17th, and proceeds to make lovely aspects to Saturn in the afternoon, allowing us to ride the wave of yesterday’s inventive productivity. Later, the Moon beautifully aspects Venus, inviting us to bring beauty into our evening. It’s a great night to cook an extra special dinner or to spend time with friends and loved ones. Harmonious socialization and aesthetics are on the menu.

Conversely, this may be a great time to discuss finances or other tough subjects, as Venus will soften the edges. This is in good timing, because we may get some sort of news today in our Scorpio house, and it could be financially related.

Wednesday is a watery day. And it literally could be raining, but I mean watery in the symbolic fashion. Neptune stations direct today! So if you have a planet at 6-7⁰ of a water or mutable sign, you can begin to feel relieved now, for Neptune is moving away from that planet for a very long time. Just a couple more months to go! Nonetheless, we should all be feeling this shift. Maybe we feel extra spacey, sensitive, empathetic or compassionate.

There may also be a feeling of “I can’t go on any longer,” namely, surrender to a force more powerful than yourself. Neptune transits can be very humbling, as you become profoundly aware that you are a part of something much greater than your temporary human self, and yet, that your soul is indeed a part of it. That’s why Neptune rules alcohol and drugs, is because sometimes the message is too big to handle and we desire to escape. This is also why Neptune rules institutions, ashrams, transcendence, meditation, rapture, art, theater, photography and film. It’s all about escaping mundane reality, and at the same time, connecting to that emotional transcendent force that weaves all of our lives together into ONE enigmatic conundrum. It’s so big that there are no known borders. We are in it, so we can’t see it. Accepting that we can’t know or understand is to surrender.  That is Neptune.

November 19th is the First Quarter Moon. There is an early morning void before the Moon enters Pisces at 7:21 am, prolonging the mist of Neptune over the next couple of days.  In the evening, the Moon squares Saturn and conjoins Neptune. Reality strikes. Today is a preview of how we will be experiencing the Saturn/Neptune square, which will be ongoing through the Fall of 2016. So pay attention!

The lesson is all about being really clear about what your dream is and how you plan to make it a reality. Saturn is in the sign of the Archer, Sagittarius, so our aim is very important. Saturn is all about concrete reality, while Neptune can dream about infinite scenarios. Is our dream practical enough to sustain itself within our realm of existence? If not, perhaps that dream can be reworked over the course of next year. “Seeing is believing,” is the password here. The Law of Attraction is definitely a truth in Neptune’s world, however, Saturn is requiring that action be taken.

Neptune IS the stronger planet, so dream big. We have some time to negotiate with Saturn as to how we can manifest if on the physical plane.

Friday, November 20th, is Venus’ day! And she makes an exact square to Pluto this evening. We are feeling the tension build all day. There is an air of obsession surrounding a budding romance, a compulsive desire to spend money, the urge to merge in deep tantric union with your love, or to try something really kinky.

Conversely, in the lower expression of this energy, jealously, wanting to possess or control another individual for personal gain is a possibility with this energy. Something may come to light regarding a previous relationship, a cheating partner, or secret money habits. Transformation of values or an existing relationship is possible.

Mercury also enters Sagittarius today. Where to begin? That is indeed the question. Mercury isn’t as comfortable in this sign. Mercury likes to connect the dots. In the sign of the archer, there is too vast of a selection. Mercury tends to get distracted here and conversations veer off course. “What were we originally talking about?” This doesn’t have to be a bad thing, but it’s tougher to navigate the mind than it has to be. Astrologer Isabel Hickey says of this placement in a natal chart, “thoughts are like shooting stars.”

Saturday, November 21st, gets off to a slow start with the Moon void in Pisces. The days kicks up into high gear when the Moon enters Aries at 10:12 am EST. Fiery, impulsive action. Get outside and play, work out, adventure or take charge of your to-do list! Rams may butt heads around 7:15 pm EST when the Moon opposes Mars. The energy is definitely heated. With Mars in Libra, it’s possible that the matter can be resolved diplomatically. Try to put yourselves in each other’s shoes. By 9pm, “it is what it is” when the Moon trines Saturn.

The Sun enters Sagittarius on Sunday November 22nd. Sagittarius is a mutable (changeable) sign that heralds the transition from fall into winter. Sag also rules distant travel and exploration of foreign territory. Where would you like to travel this winter? For some, this is quite the literal question. However, this could also be figurative. During winter, we are more likely to hole up inside and it’s a great time to study, read and explore oneself. Jupiter is the ruler of Sag and he is the expansion principle. So we are going to expand ourselves: we can either expand our waistlines (beginning at thanksgiving), or expand our knowledge (or both!) Sagittarius rules universities and religious institutions as well, so it’s a great time to revive an interest in these areas.

The Moon goes void with a conjunction to Uranus at 2:16 pm EST. We have a bit of a wild streak. We might be tempted to break our own rules. It’s somewhat of an unpredictable energy. Uranus is like lightning, and our inspiration follows suit today. Be careful, because your spontaneity might cause some upset. The aspects today aren’t very nice. Strategic disruption, however is revolutionary rebellion.

The Moon enters steady Taurus at 11:26 am on Monday, yet wild energy of the weekend persists as Venus opposes Uranus (exact at 5:13 pm). This is a separating energy around a relationship. Is there an affiliation that needs to be severed? Conversely, this could bring you in contact with someone new, who has crossed your path to awaken and inspire you.

Since Venus’ square to Pluto last week, our relationships and values have been receiving a bit of a shake-up. It may not be easy, and it may not be fun, but trust that these planets are ultimately working towards the highest good. Maybe that situation was outworn or toxic (Pluto), or maybe it was sudden and shocking (Uranus), with the purpose of awakening. With Uranus and Pluto, it’s not always in our control; sometimes it just happens!

We finally come back to Earth on Tuesday November 24th. (Last week was nuts!) The Taurus Moon stabilizes us back into practicality and back into our bodies. Mars sextiles Saturn, assisting us to get a lot work done, be it our day job, or a personal goal, or both. We are worn out by the time the Moon goes void at 8:26 with a trine to Jupiter: time to indulge in the simple pleasures. Netflix and chill, anyone?

FULL MOON: Wednesday, November 25th 2015: 4⁰ Gemini/Sagittarius

The Moon ripens in the sign of Gemini, bringing attention to our words, and information. Gemini concerns itself with communication as well, how we verbalize information and how we deliver and use that information. Light is also encoded information. Your aura is an expression of your light, radiating the collective frequency of your chakras, subconsciously communicating into the world who you are.

The recent terror attacks have created a storm of emotions all around the globe. While many mourn for France, others are asking why Lebanon’s pain is sidelined, or if the CIA created ISIS; a woman from the Congo asks, “What about my country?” We live in duality: everything has an equal and opposite reaction. While many are angered, others are inspired to raise their compassion even higher, do even more acts of kindness, to create more love and happiness in the world every day. One might believe that the silver lining of tragedy is heightened empathy, love and compassion for the entire planet.

The Sun is in Sagittarius, who asks the bigger questions: Why do we live in a world where these terrible things exist?  Sagittarius is where the seeker aims his arrow towards understanding. The Sun conjoins Saturn and Mercury, asking us to be grounded in our vision. Whether we are contemplating the state of the planet, with concern for humanity’s future and well-being, OR, maybe it’s in regards to our own personal goals (or both, seeing as how we are all connected; we are all ONE on this planet), we are asked to be realistic. Saturn wants to make sure that our vision is truly possible and will be able to breath on its own. Mercury is there to make sure that we are detailed in meeting our criteria and that we aren’t leaving out any important details.

While we may feel that we are insignificant at times, it’s proven that one person can make a difference. It only takes one person to refuse to give up her seat on a bus; one person, just one person, can stand up for what’s right and create a ripple effect. Think about this: If you could create more joy in your life, you will spread that joy as you interact with others, creating a ripple effect of joy. Even higher of a challenge: what if your vision of creating more joy in your life were sustainable for the well-being of the entire planet?  These are just ideas to consider.

Dare to dream big. Neptune, ruler of dreams, squares the Sun, Saturn, Mercury and the Moon. Martin Luther King held steadfast to dream that has been unfolding beautifully; and John Lennon wholeheartedly imagined a better world too.

The whole world still needs healing: the people, the structures, and the planet herself. “You might say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one…” a peaceful, happy, healthy tribe of Earthen people IS possible. Yes, it would require many radical shifts, but I won’t give up on that vision. Nearly everything that exists in our everyday life was once just someone’s vision. Truly, anything is possible.

Thursday, November 26th, we are still beaming in the light of the Full Moon; especially because today is the first of three exact squares between Saturn and Neptune. We may feel this energy acutely today, but we will be working with this energy through September 2016. To get a clearer idea as to how this energy affects us personally, you’ll want to look at where these planets are transiting in your chart. If you aren’t sure, email me!

A wound may be brought to light to ask for healing today. It may be a physical ailment or an emotional one. No matter how you choose to celebrate this day, hopefully you are surrounded by loved ones.

The Moon goes void with a harmonious trine to Venus, so at least we can sleep well tonight!

The Moon remains void until entering the water sign Cancer on Friday at 2:27 pm EST. The Moon squares the Nodes of Destiny today. We have a choice: we can choose the easy route of remaining where we are or we can bravely leap forward, breaking out of our comfort zone and into the future. When a behavior is outworn or toxic, it’s time to leap forward. Sometimes it’s easier to stay in the current motion, but it’s not always the best option. If we are not growing, then we are not truly living.

Chiron stations direct on Saturday, November 28th, drawing even more attention to that which needs healing. Chiron has been speaking to us throughout the entire month as he prepared to shift forward. During that time, hopefully we received clarity on what we need to do to heal this pain. Maybe we scheduled a doctor’s appointment, an acupuncture session or initiated a new healing pattern into our lives. Now that he is turning forward, we can expect to see the results of our efforts.

Another way that Chiron can show up in our lives is in the form of a mentor or a teacher. Maybe we are seeking the guidance of a healer, mentor or teacher, or maybe we are offering our guidance to others.

Sunday, November 29th is a big day for the Sun, who conjoins Saturn and subsequently, forms an exact square to Neptune. The Sun is again highlighting this formation. I know, I know, we’ve been talking a lot about the Saturn/Neptune square this month; but it’s not going anywhere for almost a year!! The Sun aligns with Saturn asking us to align with a plan of action working towards our vision. What do you want to be “when you grow up?” It’s not too late to reach for that vision you’ve always dreamed of.  This is your true heart path that we are speaking of. Maybe it’s your dream job, or something you’ve always wanted to pursue outside of work. It could really be anything.

Think, what’s missing from my human experience? What have I always wanted to try or achieve? Moving forward, we will be working with this plan. Saturn will be sure to tell us when we aren’t being realistic. It might show up as some sort of road block, in which instance, we will be asked to both persist and be patient, OR to rework the plan so that it can be more supported in the physical world.

The Moon is void all day, it’s the Sun who makes aspects. We are aligning with our true heart path. The Sun rules the heart. We are connecting with our heart to get clear on our plan.

The Moon says “ok, go!” when she enters Leo at 7:47 pm EST.

Monday, November 30th, the Moon makes harmonious and productive aspects to Saturn and Mars. We are ready to get to work and have the momentum to keep up throughout the day. Perhaps we are taking initiative on some of the clarity we received over the weekend.

Aho Mitakyue Oyasin. May Mother Earth and all her inhabitants be awakened to our unity.

Love and healing to ALL....
