Crucial clarity: The Aquarius Full Moon + Forecast (8/7-8/14/22)

Galactic Greetings,

It’s been so tough keeping this secret under wraps, but since Venus is on my ascendant today, here it goes: Baby Urban #2 is due this winter! And due to be an Aquarius like my husband Eli. I’m still so surprised, even as I reach the second trimester. If you’d like to read more about the horary chart which revealed this surprise pregnancy to me before I even knew it was possible, you can read my latest article drop here:

Astrology Watch:

Mars square Saturn, 8/7

Venus trine Neptune, 8/7

Venus opposite Pluto, 8/9

Venus enters Leo, 8/11

Aquarius Full Moon, 8/11

Sun square Nodes, 8/11

Sun square Uranus, 8/11

Sun square Saturn, 8/14

Mars square Saturn, 8/7

Continuing in the vein of last week’s colossal alignment of Mars-Uranis-North node, Mars now kneels to Saturn, hoping to reinforce some of the changes achieved during the freedom brawl. Saturn also brings consequences, concurrently reprimanding outlandish or crude behavior. I’m already seeing headlines boasting justice for malicious acts. Despite a revolutionary wind in our sails, this aspect can stunt movement at the request of contemplation. Conviction is one thing, clean execution is another.

If the Taurus mash-up brought important, liberating revelations your way, Saturn will help us actualize them, and begin to do the work to integrate them into our everyday reality. But first, we must be willing to acknowledge the hurdles, and find innovative ways around them (if possible!). This is a WERK aspect!

Venus trine Neptune, 8/7; Venus opposite Pluto, 8/9; Venus enters Leo, 8/11

Venus is making some rounds this week, and it begins on a rainbow high. Venus’ trine to Neptune drizzles us in a nectar of creativity. Let this aspect help us to fall deeper in love, to identify the magic in our lives, to be delighted by the exquisite gift of aliveness. Pause; notice the profound in the profane. Venus’ trine to Neptune sensitizes us to sound, color, aroma and visuals. As Venus rounds out her journey through familiar Cancer, an open invitation arises to throw some glitter on the usual rituals.

Next, Venus plunges into the depths as she opposes Pluto, offering opportunities to lean in closer, deepen connection, engage in intimate dialogue, and yes, cry! Venus in Cancer would like to connect emotionally. While it may be a challenge for some, vulnerability can be key for excavating the most opulent riches from this transit. Alternatively, this aspect can conjure a tendency to project emotions onto others. The shadow side of Cancer is passivity, expecting others to just intuitively know what we need and lean in. However, projection often pushes people away instead. Emotional awareness can help us parse the wisdom flirting with reveal.

Calling in playfulness and levity, Venus beams into solar Leo! Fun-loving, vivacious and colorful, it’s time for loud prints, statement pieces and hair that turns heads. Venus in Leo is sharp, but not necessarily polished. This is this time to experiment with your expression. Venus in Leo commands complements – given and received. It’s a season of generous affection and loving up on your loved ones’ prized attributes. Go glam!

Aquarius Full Moon, 19°21’ Aquarius, 8/11/22

Dorian Legret

The Full Moon conjoins Saturn in Aquarius, whose aim is to optimize and innovate infrastructure, to reinforce the scientific process, and to promote collective collaboration. It also has a downside: authoritarian control, rules, and the damaging effects of overly rigid mindset. A star player since 2020 (and a harbinger of the pandemic), this is the last Aquarius lunation which spotlights Saturn in Aquarius. Themes of WORK will be accentuated on the world stage.

This full moon squares Uranus and the north node, engaging the Saturn-Uranus square of 2021 – an aspect hard-tasked with cultural revolution, innovation and invention. We have already altered the way we work, shifted our values, and (similar to the French revolution and the Haymarket Square affair, which occurred under the same formation), we resist imperialist oppression by forming unions and demanding livable wages.

In our personal lives, we may arrive at a place of crucial clarity. Riding on the coattails of the jolting Uranus-Mars-north node conjunction, Saturn helps us process fresh revelations and discover viable pathways of implementation. Saturn reminds us of our innovative agency. Who can make the desired changes happen? We can!

Aquarius gifts the ability to hold focus long enough to solve wide-spanning issues. The shadow side is rigid thinking, which can intellectually stunt. At a crossroads with the lunar nodes, the Aquarius full moon may be inviting us to open our minds, or it may reflect a pivotal arrival at a long-sought after conclusion. Saturn is not always “good” news, but it brings answers which are helpful, nonetheless. With the Sun at the nodal crossroads, questions around identity, talents and visibility may also be on the table. On the world stage, we can expect important developments from world leaders.

Big Blessings,

Catherine
