With my timelord transiting my hidden 12th house for much of July, it seems I took an unintentional hiatus! If you’ve been following me on my other platforms, you might have heard that family has become a bigger focus for me lately due to transitions of all kinds. Three weekends in a row, I attended a wedding, a baby shower, and a funeral. I find it eerily poetic how life and death are often coupled hand in hand – providing a contrast which ultimately leads to a deeper reverence for the present. And the transitions keep on coming, but life continues. I am happy to return to my written forecast!

Mars conjoins Uranus on the North Node, 8/1
A highly combustible planetary combo which astrologers have been eyeing all year has arrived. Mars, the planet of conflict, injury and severance aligns with Uranus, the planet of revolution, awakening and rebellion. When these two planets get together, it creates an urge to smash glass ceilings and throw Molotov cocktails into the dens of our oppressors. Eruptive and volatile, the adrenaline of this planetary combinations spurs us into active rebellion against confining or dehumanizing situations.
The old astrology cookbooks refer to this combo as “accident prone,” mostly because the aim is to create a commotion. Liberation is the modus. Like a teenager hurling themselves out of a second story window into a bush to wild out at midnight – or a thrill-seeking skateboarder on a handrail – adrenaline is our high. Pushing the limits to freedom becomes a call we cannot ignore.
This radical alignment occurs on the north node of fate, which not only intensifies the effects of this transit on the world stage, but it may coincide with events distinctively pivotal in our socio-political evolution as humans on this planet. The north node carries an insatiability, stopping at nothing to achieve its aims.
We must consider the nodes as gateways to eclipses. The previous eclipse season ushered the leak of Roe v Wade’s eventual overturn, ironically paralleling a baby formula shortage. The eclipse cycle prior to that was at the tail end of 2021, initiating this new polarity of eclipses along the Taurus-Scorpio axis. Subsequent themes include finances and resources: supply shortages, inflation, the radical fluctuations of cryptocurrency. This is also a polarity of sensuality and sexuality. While it’s enjoyable to watch shows such as “How to Build a Sex Room,” on Netflix, it’s abhorrent to witness over half of Americans lose the guarantee of medical resources such as abortion. We all know that this affects us all. We know that this is the tip of the iceberg. Thus, a triple conjunction of Mars, Uranus and the north node are a definite lip-biter. What’s to be the cause of the eruption?
Eclipse triggers in February coincided with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, pressurizing key resources gas and oil. We have seen other European nations create new energetic infrastructures, while gas prices here in the States have soared. It should be noted that the Saturn-Uranus square is also a huge part of this configuration, coinciding with leaps in technological innovation and revolutions within the workforce. We’ve seen more workers secure the right to work from home, increase wages, unionize and – how can we forget The Great Resignation?
Mars’ current alignment with Uranus is just one of the two upcoming showstoppers involving this planet of innovation and revolution. The second is the eclipse on 11/8 (the midterm election in the United States) in a partile conjunction with Uranus.
While Venus forms a supportive sextile to Mars, Uranus and the north node, it’s probably not enough to take the edge off. We are living in a time of financial and ecological devastation where our human dignity continues to be jeopardized. The early portion of August is bound to radiate electricity – awakening us to pivotal issues we must unwaveringly vie for.

Mercury enters Virgo, 8/4
The planet of communication, business, and invention travels through their home sign of Virgo from August 4th – August 25th. But wait! Mercury returns to Virgo September 23rd – October 10th. Indeed, another Mercury retrograde is upon us! On the plus side, we will enjoy an extended stay of Mercury traveling through their home sign of methodical Virgo, offering us prolonged access to gifts of ingenuity, brainstorming, and solution-finding. Helpful and thoughtful, Mercury in Virgo also enhances writing abilities and overall consideration of others.
However – Mercury retrogrades in their home sign tend to bring an extra side of mischief (we should remember this dearly from the previous retrograde in Gemini!). While Mercury retrograde is a way away (9/9-10/2/22), it’s good to be prepared for what’s on the horizon. The brilliant insights and ideas emerging in this first Virgo stretch will eventually provide a stage for redo’s, reimagining and revamping.
