Splish Splash Summer Solstice Forecast: 6/19 - 6/25/22

Galactic Greetings,

Now that early June is behind us, it’s a great time to reflect on the revelations and twists which transpired in the wake of our double Mercury-Saturn station on the eclipse degrees. Combined with Venus’ union with Uranus, I know it certainly brought some vivid twists into my life. As my monthly astro-meet-up Cauldron continues to grow, I spent the Mercury retrograde researching and preparing a new forum to fulfill our conversational needs. As of this past weekend, we moved away from the chaos of our IG chat and onto Discord wherein we have organized threads of astrological topics and tangents. We are all so happy we made the switch! Proof that Mercury retrogrades are in fact helpful for some things ;)

This month, I’m launching a second monthly astro-meet-up, Moonrise, a chart interpretation group designed for all levels of astrology practicioners to sharpen skillset, synthesize techniques and gain confidence conversing about astology with others who share your love of astrology!

Moonrise begins on 6/23! Hope to see you there!

Venus sextile Neptune, 6/19 + Mercury sextile Jupiter, 6/20

Combining these celestial influences, we are offered space to dream about the future. Let’s stay positive, shall we? Recovering from an eclipse hangover and some grounding squares with Saturn which helped us settle some looming what-if’s, we have a new outlook on where we stand. Standing firm in the now, a refreshing space of optimism, fantasy and creative brainstorming presents itself. Let’s get excited about the visual of gold streaming down the pipeline.

Mercury in Gemini sextiles Jupiter in Aries, offering a wide lens, inspired and curious outlook. Meanwhile, Venus in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces, painting a dreamy image of what’s to arrive. This is divine inspiration which might invite us to take some sort of leap of faith, trusting in the process.

Summer Solstice, 6/21 (Cancer Season Begins!)

The Sun enters the cardinal water sign of Cancer on 6/21, marking the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Cancer season celebrates our relationships which feel like home. Whether it’s family or chosen family, the Cancerian archetype takes comfort in rituals of familiarity. A security-oriented sign, the Cancer crab feels more comfortable emerging from their hermit shell when they know exactly the kind of vibes to expect.

Following in the footsteps of busy-butterfly Gemini season, Cancer season calls us back to our roots. One cannot draw from an empty well. Life flourishes where we water it. Cancer season invites us to tend to our energy reserves, carefully watering the terrain which nourishes our soul. The cardinal-water sign instinctively responds to our signals for rest, sustenance and stillness.

And we’ll need it.

Cancer season serves up a few spiky shell, kicking off with a retaliatory Mars-Pluto-Eris combo (end of June/beginning of July). On Independence Day, both Mars and Mercury change signs within 20 minutes of one another, signifying a collective mood shift. Interestingly, Mars last entered Taurus mid-Insurrection. It feels auspicious that we reach the two-year mark on the Fourth of July in the wake of the public hearings. Lastly, Cancer season features a resourceful Mercury Cazimi opposite Pluto on 7/16. So curate your hermit crab shells to be a livable “feel-good-box” of soul food and blankies because we are going to need it!

Venus trine Pluto, 6/21

Venus’ trine to Pluto highlights intimacy and vulnerability in relationship dynamics. This alignment recalls December and January’s Venus retrograde tango with Pluto, the lord of resources and truth. Think back to the monumental developments which emerged from the cracks of this period. Venus, ‘our relationship planet had been through a lot of tests and trials this year – tightening up some of our relationships while putting the pressure on others. Venus’ trine to Pluto will testify to the progress we have made in fortifying bridges in our relationships.

Venus’ trine to Pluto pitches a fertile ground for rich convos, emotional depth, and the bearing of one’s soul. It’s not a forecast for lighthearted playfulness – not yet. Venus enters Gemini tomorrow, so for now, dig a little deeper to strike gold.

Venus enters Gemini, 6/22

Emerging from the pillow den of Taurus, Venus levitates into the breezy realm of Gemini, whimsically weaving where the wind blows. Venus in Gemini is the social butterfly – a social-life stimulant, tangent-ly coloring our weekends with awesome encounters. As quickly as our calendars fill, we scramble to rearrange and table some of said plans. Indeed, Venus in Gemini changes her mind frequently, favoring the more vibrant bouquet.

Venus in Gemini gets bored easily, so it’s important to keep things fresh! With wind in our sails, Venus in Gemini is charming, flirtatious and funny – a welcome reprieve from heavier topics, or at least, we try to make light of them.

Big Blessings,

Catherine
