Lunar Eclipse Conjunct Uranus... on Election Day?! 11/8/22

Galactic Greetings,

I don’t know about you, but this past serving of astrological weather was nothing short of catalytic. It felt like an alchemical domino effect of truth serum, reality checks and taking action accordingly. As I write, Mars is stationing retrograde, so the end-of-October drama is not even over yet. That said, I’m already feeling grateful for the potency of eclipses to help shift stonewalls in our lives. Hopefully you’re feeling similarly too.

Astrology Watch:

Venus opposite Uranus, 11/5

Venus square Saturn, 11/7

Lunar Eclipse conjunct Uranus, 11/8

Mercury Cazimi 11/8

Venus opposite Uranus, 11/5 + Venus square Saturn, 11/7

Venus in Scorpio activates the Saturn-Uranus square highlighting themes of wages, wealth inequalities and energy resources on the world stage. The eclipse conjunct Venus in Scorpio brought headlines of hope, such as solar panel windows, while also warning of dire consequences of shrinking insect populations, the failed concept of plastic recycling and devastatingly high green-house gas emissions. Venus’ activation of the Saturn-Uranus square will draw greater emphasis to these economic and ecological crises.

On a personal level, Venus’ entanglement here can help us to tackle the need for innovation in our relationships. Her opposition to Uranus invites us to squash dynamics which have grown confining. While Venus in Scorpio is fiercely loyal, and she may not be willing to walk away, it’s clear that something does need to shift to keep her satisfied. This is a time to deviate from the routine, explore a wild desire, or discover something new about one another by connecting on a more intimate level.

Venus’ square to a stationary Saturn helps us to find clarity in relationship obstacles, and highlights themes of commitment. Definitely a make-or-break energy here, as it is eclipse season, there’s also a fierce commitment to putting in the work to strengthen the dynamic.

Lunar Eclipse conjunct Uranus, 11/8  + Mercury Cazimi

As if the previous Venus cazimi eclipse wasn’t weird enough, this next eclipse features a Mercury cazimi, which then eclipses the Moon – which is exactly conjunct Uranus. Weird AF. But let’s break it down!

Total Lunar eclipse visible in United States (East Coast at Moonset/Sunrise), Asia and Australia.

The nature of eclipses are inherently unpredictable, but they are startling and catalytic. The eclipse is tightly bound to Uranus, a planet known for disruptions, sudden change, rebellion and breaking the rules. November 8th happens to be election day here in the United States – a very important primary which will either steer our nation to the far right or maintain a balance of political influence. A lot is at stake here, and the erratic nature of this eclipse could produce some shocking results, as well as individuals willing to go to Promethean extremes to tamper with fair elections. I mean, we’ve been seeing it a lot in the past few years and many politicians on the right have condoned it. With Uranus entwined here, I expect it. But truly, be ready for anything. This one’s going to cause quite the commotion.

The eclipse is ruled by Venus in Scorpio, a planet ruling reproductive and sexual freedom who is in the sign of her detriment. The endangered state of our rights has influence here. Venus separeates from the Saturn-Uranus square, a configuration geared toward innovation and systemic evolution. One would hope we would open our eyes to the crisis of a dying planet. How ironic that the Earth Mother suffers alongside us. Where wealth and influence overpower she who nourishes us.

Mercury’s cazimi funnels an innovative and resourceful clarity into the wake-up call of the eclipse. Alarms are sounding, but how will we respond?

Big Blessings,

Catherine
